This review is to provide insight into some of the exterior and interior features and changes in the 2025 579 vs the 2024. I did not drive the truck for this review and so I will not cover driving aspects.
This truck is the biggest sleeper available. This one was the 80 inch ultra-loft double bed bunk.
Aerodynamics are improved compared to the 2024 and this should help with fuel consumption. The hood is narrower and the bumper has an extension on the bottom to improve aerodynamics. Side wind deflectors at the back make the cab look even bigger than it is.
The headlights are LED but the turn signals are incandescent. They probably should have made the turn signals LED as well. Though the company did add an LED turn signal on the front side so drivers on your sides can see that you have turn signals on - this is a good upgrade.
Sideview mirrors are smaller and tapered at the top. I would prefer larger mirrors. You want more, not less, visibility in a truck like this. The mirrors are supposed to be more aerodynamic but I would prefer better visibility.
There is plenty of space between the wheels and the fuel tank. This makes fueling easy without having to perform a mini agility drill like on some trucks.
The interior is pretty similar to the 2024 but there is better sound insulation and the cabin is a little quieter. There is ample room on the passenger side and controls are well laid out and accessible. You get 12 volt outlets on both the driver and passenger side. Seats are reasonably comfortable, featuring power lumbar adjustment and an adjustable center armrest, though the forward and backward movement is still manual. The steering wheel is pretty adjustable - both up and down and telescoping.
Seats are reasonably comfortable and these had power adjustable lumbar support. Forward and backward adjustments were manual. Center console armrest height is adjustable.
The truck has a digital dashboard that is customizable and a driver should be able to set this up in a way that feels intuitive. I didn't make any adjustments to this but it looks like it shouldn't be too difficult to customize.
The cabin is 8 ft tall in the back and there is a good amount of space for a microwave and television. The beds are large and reasonably comfortable. There is a good amount of storage with click on soft covers. I would probably prefer a door on the stroage cabinets but this works ok.
The mattress in the top bunk is not as comfortable as the one on the bottom bunk. The top mattress is folded over so that it takes up less room when the top bunk is not in use and the bunk platform is not fully folded out. So there is a bit of a compromise in terms of comfort.
There are LED lights throughout the entire cabin. Interior lighting is not a problem with this truck.
This model had a Cummins X15 engine. You can also get the truck with a PACCAR engine and there is even an EV version.
Overall the truck is comfortable for a driver and passenger or co-driver. The 2025 model provides slight refinement of the 2024 version - which was already a nice truck. There are a few things I would change but this is a nice truck.
