This review is based on an extended test drive of a 2024 Brightdrop Zevo 600. Overall, the van was impressive and on first viewing would make a good large delivery van. I have also seen a company that converts them to nice campers.
The van was easy to enter with a well placed step that made getting in and out easy on the knees. Even at 6' 1" I could easily stand upright in both the cargo hold and even in the cab. It is rare to have that much height in the cab and it made it much more pleasant to go from the cab to the back of the van. The driver seat in this van was reasonably comfortable and manually adjustable. There is also a folding jump seat for a passenger in the cab.
The cargo hold is very roomy and the one I was in had rails to allow for placing shelves. The doors are solid and seem to be high quality. I would expect they would stand up to commercial delivery use very well.
The van has plenty of horse power and is quick to accelerate and get going. This is characteristic of EVs in general and the 600 doesn't disappoint. The only thing that was somewhat negative about the driving experience is that the turn radius is a bit wide. This might be related to the fact that the van has two motors and this might limit front wheel turn angles. It isn't a major problem but it could make it difficult to turn in tight spaces.
Visibility out of the front and sides is excellent. The backup camera is high quality and there are rear and side collision warning sensors.
The controls are easy to reach and the screen is high quality and mostly intuitive. Among the many settings are: one pedal driving, charge limit adjustments, climate pre-conditioning, etc. OnStar is available on the van and it is integrated with OnStar telematics to provide vehicle tracking, emergency assistance, and remote diagnostics.
Overall, this seems like a great vehicle that could be used for last-mile delivery or even beyond.
